POGLIA HANDCRAFTeD KNIVES

No two Poglia knives are the same. Each blade is hand-drawn and forged from repurposed steel, and cut mostly from reclaimed plow disks; This is our signature. Everything is done the old-school way and produced in small runs.

The blades aren't stainless, so they'll age and develop a natural patina. This adds character and style to the quality of the blade. Every mark or abrasion is a memory that enriches the product and gives it a distinct, timeless edge.

The hand-forged blade has a full tang through the length of the handle to provide superior stability. The handles are made with recycled materials and organic things that nature affords us such as wood, horn and bone. These are materials that "breathe" and react to changes in weather and temperature in their environment. Because of this, we don't have total control over how they'll age overtime. That's the beauty of our process.

Poglia knives are handled by eight hands, from the initial design to the final polish.The utility knives come in a trim leather sheath.

Pogliaのハンドクラフトナイフ

弊社に同じナイフは二つとございません。全てのナイフは手書きデザインから始まり、再生スチールが加工され、ほとんどは再利用のプラウ・ディスク（農業用機械に使われる鋤の部分）から切られます。
これが弊社の商品である証です。昔ながらのスタイルで製造します。

ナイフはステンレスではありませんので、熟成して自然な古艶（パティーナ）がでてきます。それは上質なナイフに個性と風格を与えます。全てのシミやすり傷は記憶となり、時代を超え、より深みを増すことでしょう。

取っ手部分は、木や動物の角、骨などの昔ながらの素材で作られています。これらの素材は ”呼吸” をしており、天候や気温など環境の中で変化してきます。そのため、この熟成の過程を私たちが完全にコントロールできることはできません。それがまた美しさを増す工程の一つです。

弊社のナイフはデザインから最終のみがきまで、８つの工程の中、それぞれの職人による手が加えられます。実用ナイフ類には、レザーカバーがついてきます。

お手入れについて

手洗いのみ。
よく乾燥させ、必要であればオイルを塗ってください。
